Data update frequency

There are two aspects that determine how frequently your data can be sent to Databox.

First is the Push API rate limit, which is by default set to 10 requests per second. If you exceed this limit, the API will return an error message ‘Error: Too many requests. 10/sec is allowed’) and your request will not be processed. For high frequency data sends we recommend using a queuing service to avoid potential data discrepancies.

The second limitation is based on your Databox plan. The Data update frequency of your plan determines the frequency of updating the data in Databox (see pricing information). If your data is updating daily, you can send data complying with the 10/second API rate limit, but your metric on a Databoard will refresh just once per day.
